Okeechobee Utility Authority Board of Directors

City Appoints 3 of the 8 members: Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m.

Municipal Police Officers’ Pension Board of Trustees

5 members: Meets the 1st Monday in Feb., May, Aug. & Nov. at 4:30 p.m.

Municipal Firefighters’ Pension Board of Trustees

5 members: Meets the 1st Monday in Feb., May, Aug. & Nov. at 4:30 p.m.

General Employees’ Retirement System Board of Trustees

5 members: Meets the 1st Monday in Feb., May, Aug. & Nov. at 5:30 p.m.

All applicants for a City Board shall complete a Citizen Board/Committee Application form. Board members serve their appointed term without any compensation. Additional qualifications may be required depending on the particular board. Board members are appointed by the City Council, excluding those Pension Trustees who are elected by the Fund Members.

Technical Review Committee

The Technical Review Committee meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

The Technical Review Committee consists of the following representative from each listed department and/or organization:

  • City Administrator
  • Building Official
  • Public Works Director
  • Police Chief
  • Okeechobee County Fire Rescue
  • Okeechobee County Health Department
  • Okeechobee Utility Authority
  • Okeechobee County School Board
